The Tianjin Hotel is in the busiest commercial area of Nanjing Road. It has easy access to major traffic networks in the city and is slightly over two miles from the railway station and less than fifteen miles from the airport. On top of the forty-floor main tower there is a ball hall, restaurant and heli-pad. The west wing has supermarket, bank, post office, and restaurant. It also contains a recreation area, with gymnasium, bowling alley, tennis court, swimming pool, sauna and squash court.
